Finding and Reporting Aids to Navigation

AV Assistant

AV Assistant (AVA) finds all the nearest aids to navigation in U.S. waters surrounding your live GPS position (or a fixosed position) and allows you to verify the aid status or report a discrepancy. This is primarily for the use of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Power Squadron. This app downloads the weekly U.S. Coast Guard Light List and Local Notices to Mariners for your district, and then shows the aids within your Area of Interest.

Nearest Light

Nearest Light is an informational aid for all boaters in U.S. waters that shows your current location (live GPS) and details on all nearby aids to navigation (buoys, lights, etc), including those affected by Local Notices to Mariners. This app downloads the weekly U.S. Coast Guard Light List and Local Notices to Mariners for your district, and then shows the aids within your Area of Interest.
